The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild features numerous intricate shrine quests scattered across Hyrule, with Zora's Domain offering some of the most memorable lore-driven puzzles. Among these tasks is The Ceremonial Song quest, which challenges players to interpret an ancient verse and perform a precise physical feat. Completing this objective unveils the hidden Dagah Keek Shrine located near Veiled Falls.
Starting the Quest in Zora's Domain
To begin the quest line, head to the heart of Zora's Domain and speak with a young Zora girl named Laruta. She will recite a traditional song that hints at a hidden trial waiting near Veiled Falls. The song mentions a scale of light splitting the base of the waterfall, pointing toward a specific sacred weapon.
After hearing the song, speak with Trello on the bridge near the domain's northwest exit. He reveals that he accidentally dropped the Ceremonial Trident into the waters far below. This replica weapon is essential for triggering the shrine's activation mechanism.
Retrieving the Ceremonial Trident
To recover the lost trident, leap off the bridge into the river beneath Zora's Domain. Use the Cryonis rune to create floating ice pillars in the water to give yourself a stable standing platform. From your ice pillar, switch to the Magnesis rune to locate the submerged spear lying on the riverbed.
Target the Ceremonial Trident with Magnesis and pull it up onto your platform to add it to your inventory. Alternatively, players who already possess the Lightscale Trident can use that legendary weapon instead. Returning to Trello confirms the weapon's purpose, allowing you to proceed to the final destination.
Activating the Dagah Keek Shrine Pedestal
Travel west from Zora's Domain to reach the base of Veiled Falls, where an orange metallic pedestal rests in the water. Equip your Zora Armor and swim directly up the waterfall to launch Link high into the air. Alternatively, players can gain height by utilizing Revali's Gale or gliding down from nearby cliffs.
While gliding above the glowing pedestal, line Link up directly over the center of the ring. Press the attack button while floating with your paraglider to execute a aerial ground-pound attack using the trident. Striking the center of the pedestal triggers the ancient mechanism, causing the Dagah Keek Shrine to rise from the water.
Claiming Your Rewards
Because the main challenge of this shrine lies in discovering and activating it, the interior contains no further puzzle encounters. Step inside the shrine room to discover a treasure chest containing a valuable Silver Rupee worth 100 currency units. Approach Monk Dagah Keek at the altar to receive your Spirit Orb and finish the quest.
